After recently meeting each another in Cologne, Simone Giertz and Laura Kampf decided to put their creative minds together to build a cartoon-inspired robot for Kampf’s dog, Smudo. The idea is fairly straightforward: a device that “makes a dog walk itself” by dangling a piece of sausage in front of their head.

The contraption consists of a lightweight, ergonomic aluminum harness that bends over Smudo, along with an Arduino Uno and a servo motor tasked with wiggling the hot dog around.

What do you do when you’re the Queen of S****y Robots and you’re in the mood for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? You have a remote-controlled bot make one for you, of course. This is exactly what Simone Giertz set out to do in her latest hilarious project using a pair of robotic arms: one holds a plastic knife for spreading, while the other is puppeteered by her friend, Fiona.

Although this sandwich robot may not be making any PB&Js anytime soon, Giertz’s video will surely have you LOL-ing. Enjoy!

From getting out of bed to applying lipstick to eating breakfast, Simone Giertz has seemingly found every possible way to automate her morning routine. Next on that list? A hair-washing robot made up of a rubber hand, a bottle of shampoo and some basic electronics that allows her to lather, rinse and repeat, while leaving her hands free for other tasks like brushing her teeth.

Giertz’s latest project features a pair of Hitec servo motors, Actobotics from Servocity, an Arduino Uno and a 6V battery pack. Although you’d probably never use this thing in an actual real shower, a shampoo robot is still pretty darn hilarious. See it in action below!
